"Clayface," the third movie in the DC Universe and a spinoff centered on the Batman villain, recently held its premiere. DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran attended the event and sat down with IGN for an interview.
During the conversation, Safran confirmed for the first time that Skydance, the new parent company formed following Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, has no plans to remove him or fellow co-CEO James Gunn. In fact, the company fully supports the pair’s vision: "You know, he thinks highly of the work we’re doing and wants to give us the resources to keep doing it. I think he sees our long-term vision. We presented it to him earlier this year, and he wants us to continue moving in the direction we’re headed."

Safran also unexpectedly revealed that DC Studios has cast the two leads in "Mister Miracle," the adult animated series announced last year. "The Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson will voice Scott Free, while "Blade Runner 2049" actress Mackenzie Davis, pictured below, will play his wife, Big Barda.

The series is based on Tom King’s acclaimed 12-issue "Mister Miracle" comic run, which concluded in 2018. King also serves as showrunner. Scott Free is the world’s greatest escape artist, better known as Mister Miracle. The seemingly perfect life he shares with his warrior wife, Big Barda, begins to unravel when war erupts between their home worlds of Apokolips and New Genesis. Meanwhile, Scott’s cruel adoptive father, Darkseid, appears to have seized the ultimate weapon—the Anti-Life Equation—and is preparing to use it to conquer the universe. As the death toll rises on both planets, only Mister Miracle can stop the bloodshed. But the terrifying power of the Anti-Life Equation may already be taking hold inside his mind, distorting his reality, exposing long-buried trauma and shattering the fragile happiness he has found with the woman he loves.
