BANDAI SPIRITS’ BANDAI HOBBY division has officially unveiled the product page and new details for Calice, the latest entry in its extensive 1/144-scale High Grade Gunpla lineup. Based on the upcoming action game "GUNDAM TRAJECTORY OF THE OTHER RAIL," the kit is scheduled for release in February 2027.
The all-new action game "GUNDAM TRAJECTORY OF THE OTHER RAIL" is part of the next-generation Gundam initiative known as the RG project. Sharing its universe with the upcoming anime "Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO", the game takes place roughly a century later in A.A. 145. Players step into the role of Gundam Helix pilot RE-X and join forces with his Haro partner, Vii, to confront the threat posed by the silicon-based life-forms known as the Apocalypse. A highly flexible customization system lets players swap weapons, equipment, and color schemes before charging into fast-paced, highly maneuverable combat.
HG 1/144 Calice brings the personal Mobile Suit of Elaine Galath, the 19th Seat Knight Commander of the Trezor Council, into the Gunpla lineup. Its densely detailed 1/144-scale parts capture the machine’s imposing silver-white armor, giving it the appearance of a futuristic knight clad in heavy plate. From the mono-eye camera and blade-shaped antenna to the rounded armor profile, the design carries an unmistakable Zeon influence. Articulated joints throughout the body allow for the agile poses seen in the game, while the forearms and lower legs feature distinctive deployable armor mechanisms.
The kit comes armed with an enormous lance, recreated with intricate parts that capture its complex construction and multiple rear-mounted thrusters. The function of the massive backpack has yet to be revealed, though its design suggests that it may transform into a large shield. A set of parts for recreating the Mobile Suit’s official configuration is also included, but BANDAI SPIRITS has not disclosed any further details. More of Calice’s hidden features may be revealed once the game launches. Its components and weapons are also compatible with other HG Gunpla kits from "GUNDAM TRAJECTORY OF THE OTHER RAIL," allowing builders to recreate the game’s open-ended customization system.
