BANDAI SPIRITS has officially revealed the product page for the Gundam Helix, the latest release in its BANDAI HOBBY brand’s HG (High Grade) Gunpla line. Based on the new action game "GUNDAM TRAJECTORY OF THE OTHER RAIL," the 1/144-scale kit is scheduled to launch in January 2027.
Humanity entered an age of unprecedented prosperity after an unidentified object from beyond the solar system delivered the "Three Revelations": gravity control, faster-than-light communication, and image materialization technology. With these breakthroughs, civilization expanded across the entire solar system. Then the object suddenly ran rampant, activating a self-replication system and spawning highly aggressive silicon-based lifeforms. Humanity came to associate this unknown ecosystem with the "Apocalypse."
After three months of fighting, the battle lines reached a stalemate in Earth’s orbit. Humanity was forced to abandon the planet and relocate to the Moon and space colonies, marking the beginning of A.A. 1, or After Apocalypse.
The all-new action game "GUNDAM TRAJECTORY OF THE OTHER RAIL" is part of the next-generation Gundam initiative known as the "RG project". Sharing its universe with the new anime "Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO," the game takes place roughly a century later in A.A. 145. Players assume the role of Gundam Helix pilot RE-X, who joins forces with his Haro partner Vii to confront the threat posed by the silicon-based lifeforms known as the Apocalypse. A highly flexible customization system lets players swap weapons, equipment, and color schemes while taking part in fast-paced, high-mobility combat.
The HG 1/144 Gundam Helix packs an exceptionally dense level of mechanical detail into its 1/144-scale frame, faithfully capturing the game’s photorealistic mecha design and heavy-duty weapon systems. Articulation throughout the body recreates the suit’s fluid in-game movements, while the arms and lower legs feature distinctive deployable armor gimmicks.
The kit includes a large sword and rifle that can both be mounted on the backpack. The sword also features a transformation mechanism that switches between two configurations. Components and weapons are compatible with other HG Gunpla kits from "GUNDAM TRAJECTORY OF THE OTHER RAIL," bringing the game’s extensive customization system to the model-kit lineup.
