Japanese entertainment merchandise company InfoLens has opened preorders for two officially licensed Minecraft products: a Lantern Light and a Metal Water Bottle with Handle. The light brings the game’s iconic blocky design into the real world and can switch between the warm orange glow of a standard Lantern and the blue flame of a Soul Lantern. Priced at 6,996 yen including tax, it is scheduled for release in late January 2027. The metal water bottle will retail for 4,400 yen including tax and launches on November 19, 2026.
Minecraft has previously turned its familiar Torch into a real-world light, and now the in-game Lantern is stepping out of the Overworld. The design retains its square outer frame and glowing center, allowing it to sit on a desk or shelf. An included chain also lets you hang it from a wall or another suitable spot. Its blue-light setting is based on the game’s Soul Lantern, giving fans the option to switch between standard Lantern and Soul Lantern displays.
The light offers an orange glow and a blue Soul Lantern flame, with steady and flickering effects available for each color, for a total of four lighting modes. It also features a two-hour automatic shutoff timer and can run on batteries or USB Type-C power. With an IPX4 water-resistance rating, it should fit nicely beside a gaming setup—although you may suddenly find yourself searching for a Crafting Table and some Iron Nuggets.
The Metal Water Bottle with Handle features a silver stainless-steel body covered with familiar Minecraft imagery, including Grass Blocks, swords, pickaxes, and TNT. A green handle on the cap makes it easy to carry. InfoLens notes that the bottle is not safe for dishwashers, dish dryers, or microwaves. It also uses a direct-drink opening, so extra care is advised when filling it with hot beverages.
