BANDAI SPIRITS has revealed the latest artist-themed release in its popular prize-every-time Ichiban Kuji series. Following Ichiban Kuji Katsushika Hokusai and Ichiban Kuji Vincent van Gogh, the collection now turns its attention to another legendary artist with Ichiban Kuji Claude Monet! Each draw will cost 800 yen, tax included, with the lottery scheduled to launch in late April 2027.
The first preview image spotlights Claude Monet (Oscar-Claude Monet) and his iconic painting "Woman with a Parasol—Madame Monet and Her Son". The three-dimensional figure captures Monet’s signature Impressionist palette, carefully recreating the shifting light, subtle hues of the woman’s flowing dress, and the softly obscured beauty of her face beneath the veil. The previous two artist-themed releases paired centerpiece figures with practical lifestyle goods, so we’re eager to see what creative ideas BANDAI SPIRITS has planned this time. It will also be interesting to learn which other Monet works make the prize lineup—though "The Gleaners" is off the table, as that famous painting was created by Jean-François Millet rather than Monet.
