BANDAI SPIRITS’ hugely popular no-lose lottery line, "Ichiban Kuji," is expanding its "Ultraman" collection with "Ichiban Kuji Ultraman Series: Ultimate Kaiju Encyclopedia Vol. 3." Tickets will cost 900 yen per pull, including tax, with the lottery scheduled to launch on December 23, 2026.
Following the first release and Vol. 2, BANDAI SPIRITS unveiled "Ichiban Kuji Ultraman Series: Ultimate Kaiju Encyclopedia Vol. 3" during the latest broadcast of "TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION Monthly Online Live ~Takaya’s Room~ #40." This release brings the Skull Monster Red King from the original Ultraman series into the Ultimate Kaiju figure line. As one of the franchise’s most popular monsters, Red King has once again been placed in the hands of renowned creature sculptor Ryu Oyama. His interpretation transforms the monster’s rock-hard hide and heavy build into an even bulkier, more lifelike design. The prototype shown during the livestream appeared impressively large, with a thicker physique and a far more organic presence than the original suit. Even the tail has been dramatically upsized. Blue shading between the folds of Red King’s skin has also been faithfully recreated, allowing different lighting angles to bring out the layered depth of the figure’s complex full-body texture.
