"GTA 6" Drops Third Trailer: Jason and Lucia’s Troubled Pasts and Steamy Shower Kiss Take Center Stage

Rockstar Games has released the third trailer for "Grand Theft Auto VI," revealing more about co-protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos and how they become entangled in a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida. The studio also confirmed that all footage in the trailer was captured on a standard PlayStation 5 rather than a PS5 Pro.

While the first two trailers focused on introducing Vice City and its colorful residents, the latest preview shifts the spotlight to Jason and Lucia’s relationship. Jason previously served in the Army, though his departure appears to have been far from smooth, and he struggles to find work after returning to civilian life. Lucia, meanwhile, calls Jason from prison, setting the stage for their reunion.

Rockstar’s official story synopsis explains that Jason and Lucia have always known the odds were against them. After a supposedly easy score spirals out of control, they are pulled into the darkest corners of America’s sunniest destination and caught up in a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida. To make it out alive, they will have to rely on each other more than ever.

The trailer makes it clear that Jason and Lucia’s relationship will be the heart of the story. They are both lovers and partners in crime, forced to face every threat together.

Rockstar also confirmed that the new trailer features a track from French electronic duo Justice, who composed the game’s original score.

"Grand Theft Auto VI" launches November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Digital preloading begins November 12, 2026.
