LEGO Icons 11388 Venetian Neighborhood Features a Playable Street Piano and Modular Canal Display

Danish brickmaker LEGO has unveiled LEGO Icons 11388 "Venetian Neighborhood," a sprawling 5,682-piece recreation of the cityscape lining the canals of Venice, Italy. The massive display brings together a luxury villa, an artisan glassblowing workshop, and an astronomical clock tower, along with a gondola that can pass beneath the arched bridge and 17 minifigures. Priced at $549.99, the set officially launches on November 4, 2026.

LEGO previously captured a Mediterranean coastal town with its "Italian Riviera" set, but this time the company is heading straight to Venice. The entire scene unfolds along a canal, with an arched bridge connecting the buildings and a gondola cruising across the water. A villa, glassblowing workshop, and astronomical clock tower line the waterfront, while the 17 minifigures include gondoliers, musicians, tourists, and carnival-goers dressed in elaborate masks and costumes. The streets and canal banks are also packed with lively everyday details.

The buildings' floors and roofs can be removed to reveal their detailed interiors, while the two main base sections can be separated and rearranged into different layouts. That means collectors are not limited to displaying the canal at the angle shown on the box. The street also features a street piano made with a 3D-printed element, and LEGO says it can actually play real notes—a particularly unusual interactive feature for an architectural display set.

From its staggered rooftops down to the canal's surface, the completed build feels like a full-scale city diorama. Customers who purchase the set from November 1 through November 8 will also receive the LEGO Icons 40898 "Venetian Water Taxi" gift with purchase, adding a classic speedboat to the city's water traffic.
