Dwayne Johnson is reuniting with “Uncut Gems” co-director Benny Safdie for “Lizard Music,” their second collaboration after “The Smashing Machine,” and the upcoming film has now added several more stars to its cast.

Deadline exclusively reports that Rachel McAdams, David Krumholtz, Jeff Goldblum and Colman Domingo are the latest actors to join the project. Rather than appearing in live-action roles, the four will voice animal characters. Previously announced live-action cast members include Johnson, Alicia Silverstone, Andrew Dice Clay and Regina Hall.

Written and directed by Safdie, “Lizard Music” is based on Daniel Pinkwater’s 1976 novel of the same name. The story follows a boy who is left alone and accidentally discovers a secret late-night broadcast featuring lizards playing otherworldly music, opening a hidden door to an extraordinary world. His search for answers leads him to an eccentric Chicken Man and his beloved companion, a 70-year-old hen named Claudia. The two kindred spirits have also witnessed the inexplicable.

United by a shared vision, the trio embarks on an adventure. What begins as a search for a hidden underground society grows into something far greater: a journey through an invisible world, an unexpected friendship and the discovery of an unbreakable bond between lost souls—a connection found not only in the wonders they uncover, but in one another.
