Prime 1 Studio is bringing an all-out DC Comics showdown to its Ultimate Premium Masterline with the “Batman VS Clayface 1/4 Scale Statue DX Bonus Version.” Inspired by Jim Lee’s variant cover for “Batman: One Bad Day – Clayface,” this massive statue recreates Batman’s head-on struggle against the towering shape-shifter, complete with Clayface’s cavernous maw and the Dark Knight desperately holding back his assault. Standing up to 35 inches (89 cm) tall and weighing approximately 110.5 pounds (50.1 kg), the piece also features interchangeable portraits, transformed arms, and LED effects. Limited to 350 pieces worldwide, it is priced at $2,499 and expected to ship between March and June 2028.
Clayface, whose real name is Basil Karlo, was originally an actor before gaining the ability to reshape his mud-like body at will—and even transform his limbs into weapons. In “Batman: One Bad Day – Clayface,” Karlo heads to Los Angeles under a new identity, still dreaming of returning to the screen, only to spiral further into madness and lose control. The earlier Mondo Clayface articulated figure also included transformed weapon accessories such as an ax and spiked mace, but Prime 1 Studio has taken things further by turning his direct confrontation with Batman into a complete diorama.
Clayface lunges forward with an enormous body of living mud, with twisted human faces emerging across his surface. Layers of sculpted muscle and deep folds combine with wet-look paintwork to give the creature a disturbingly organic finish, while LEDs illuminate his eyes and mouth for an even more terrifying display. Batman braces against the attack in his gray-and-black suit. From his strained expression and the fabric-like texture of the costume to the Batarang embedded in the muddy display base, every detail captures the brutal force of the battle.
Batman comes with two interchangeable portraits featuring clenched-teeth and shouting expressions, while Clayface’s left hand can be swapped between gripping, spike, and massive hammer forms. The DX Bonus Version also includes a Batman head sculpt equipped with a rebreather, giving collectors several ways to customize the characters’ expressions and Clayface’s weaponized arm. Whether Batman is desperately holding the monster back or Clayface is swinging a transformed limb into battle, each combination gives the scene a different sense of momentum. Fans familiar with Clayface’s shape-shifting abilities will know that if Batman needs a rebreather just to face him, escaping this fight will be anything but easy.
