BANDAI SPIRITS’ BANPRESTO Prize brand is bringing Izuku Midoriya from the hit anime "My Hero Academia" to its large-scale, detail-driven Grandista line. The new figure is scheduled to arrive as a Prize item in April 2027!
Created by Kohei Horikoshi, "My Hero Academia" was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024. Set in a world where nearly everyone possesses a superpower known as a Quirk, the story follows the Quirkless Izuku Midoriya after he inherits One For All from the world’s No. 1 hero, All Might. He enrolls at his dream school, U.A. High School, where he grows alongside his classmates as they pursue their goal of becoming the greatest heroes.
This Grandista Izuku Midoriya figure draws inspiration from the cover of manga Volume 1, "Izuku Midoriya: Origin," capturing the hopeful young hero striding forward in his middle school uniform. Sharp sculpting recreates the crisp folds and creases of his black uniform, while his tousled green curls and signature red sneakers are rendered with equally impressive detail. Standing approximately 25 cm tall, the figure’s substantial Grandista scale takes collectors straight back to where Izuku’s journey began!
