TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector-focused division of Japanese toy giant BANDAI SPIRITS, is offering fans an early look at its DX Chogokin SDF-1 MACROSS collectible from "Macross" at the official TAMASHII SPOT OSAKA store. Visitors can get an up-close look at the enormous spacecraft ahead of its release. Measuring approximately 25.6 inches long at roughly 1/2000 scale, the SDF-1 MACROSS is priced at 99,000 yen including tax and is scheduled for release in November 2026.
Full product details for the "DX Chogokin SDF-1 MACROSS" were previously revealed. Created to celebrate the 45th anniversary of "Macross," the collectible was supervised by original mechanical designer Kazutaka Miyatake, with product design by Hiroyuki Motoki of T-REX. The massive ship transforms between its spacecraft-like Cruiser Mode and humanoid Storm Attacker Mode. This Osaka display gives collectors their first chance to appreciate its sheer size and intricate detailing in person ahead of release.
