Tom Cruise recently underwent a prosthetic makeover for "Digger," dramatically aging his appearance as he pushed into transformative new territory. Now, Dwayne Johnson is following suit. Johnson was recently spotted filming "Lizard Music" in Brooklyn, New York, revealing his elderly transformation for the new movie from "Uncut Gems" co-director Benny Safdie. Johnson is 54, but he plays a 70-year-old man in the film.
Amazon MGM Studios also announced on Monday that the film will open in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2027.

Written and directed by Safdie, "Lizard Music" is adapted from Daniel Pinkwater’s 1976 novel of the same name. The story follows a boy who accidentally tunes in to a secret late-night broadcast where lizards perform otherworldly music, opening the door to a strange new world.
His search for answers leads him to an eccentric 70-year-old chicken farmer and his beloved companion, an elderly chicken named Claudia. The two kindred spirits have witnessed mysterious phenomena of their own. Guided by a shared vision, the trio sets off on an adventure that begins as a hunt for a hidden underground society but grows into something far greater: a journey through an invisible world, an unlikely friendship and the discovery of an unbreakable bond between lost souls—not only in what they uncover, but in one another.
