BANDAI's Gashapon brand has teased the next release in its popular ULTIMATE LUMINOUS capsule toy line, which combines highly detailed sculpting with dramatic light-up features. Based on Toei's tokusatsu series "Kamen Rider Kabuto," the upcoming Kamen Rider Kabuto figure will be officially revealed soon.
In "Kamen Rider Kabuto," the organization ZECT develops the Masked Rider System to combat the extraterrestrial Worms. Each system is powered by an insect-like core machine known as a Zecter. Protagonist Souji Tendo is chosen by the first system's Kabuto Zecter, granting him the ability to transform into Kamen Rider Kabuto. The system dramatically enhances his strength, speed, senses, and other physical abilities. Combined with the exceptional fighting skills he gained through seven years of training, Tendo becomes an incredibly formidable combatant. His Clock Up ability allows him to move at extreme speeds when battling Worms, while its upgraded version can even carry him through the past and future.
BANDAI has unveiled an early prototype of ULTIMATE LUMINOUS Kamen Rider Kabuto in Rider Form, capturing the hero gripping his Zecter as he prepares to unleash his finishing move. The sculpt faithfully recreates the texture of the black undersuit, the metallic red and silver armor, and the grid pattern across the compound eyes. An LED unit housed inside the head illuminates the eyes with a bright blue glow. The second character or accessory in the lineup has yet to be revealed, leaving collectors to speculate about a heavily armored Kabuto in Masked Form or interchangeable parts for alternate poses.
