Japan’s TAITO Corporation has teased the latest addition to its Coreful prize figure line, a series designed to showcase the colorful appeal of each title’s core characters. The new release brings Kaguya from the hit anime film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!" to life as the Kaguya VR Version (working title), with additional details set to be revealed at a later date.

Streaming exclusively on Netflix, the anime film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!" made a major splash earlier this year with its story and covers of classic Vocaloid songs. The movie follows Iroha Sakayori, a teenager living on her own while juggling school and a part-time job. Her only escape is watching streams by popular virtual performer Yachiyo Runami. Just as Iroha reaches her breaking point, she discovers a mysterious baby emerging from a utility pole near her home. The child rapidly grows into a teenage girl who claims to come from the Moon, and Iroha names her Kaguya. As the two deepen their bond in both the real world and the virtual realm of Tsukuyomi, mysterious forces from the Moon move to take Kaguya home.

The Kaguya VR Version recreates her signature pose from the film’s promotional artwork, and the display prototype looks almost absurdly polished. Kaguya’s bright, energetic smile has been captured beautifully, while clear parts accent the tips of her hair, hair accessories, and shoe soles. The crescent ornament on her bangs and the decoration on her back feature an elegant matte-gold finish, while the crescent-shaped opening at her midriff is recreated with separate parts. Even the muscle definition beneath her arms has been carefully sculpted. Fine paintwork covers the entire figure, from the gradient along the edges of her outfit to her painted fingernails. By prize figure standards, this is nothing short of a masterpiece—and Cosmic Princess Kaguya! fans will not want to miss it.
