Chinese model kit brand Motor Nuclear has unveiled the "Tiankui Star, Wumu Divine Peng, Yue Fei" model kit from its "Legend of Star General" Zhongyong Class highly articulated series. Inspired by Yue Fei, the legendary general of the Southern Song dynasty, the design fuses traditional warrior armor with futuristic mechanical styling. A massive pair of mechanical wings mounted on the back can transform into weapons, while the extensive arsenal includes a long spear, swords, and a bow. Priced at 13,200 yen including tax, the kit is scheduled for release in December 2026.
Motor Nuclear's "Legend of Star General" series reimagines figures from Chinese mythology and history as heavily armed mecha. Following the previously featured "Tianyingxing Santanhaihui Nezha" model kit, the line now turns its attention to Yue Fei, who joins the roster under the name "Tiankui Star, Wumu Divine Peng." Its densely layered armor, sharp metallic forms, and enormous birdlike backpack give it the imposing presence of a mechanical general armored for war and ready to lead his troops into battle.
The main model stands approximately 23.8 centimeters tall, reaching about 28 centimeters at its highest point when fully equipped. Constructed from ABS, POM, and alloy, it features an internal alloy frame and numerous articulated joints. The wide range of motion supports everything from spear-thrusting and sword-fighting poses to long-range archery displays, allowing Yue Fei to transition seamlessly between close-quarters combat and ranged attacks.
Another major feature is the pair of large mechanical wings, which can convert into weapon configurations. Rather than serving as purely decorative backpack units, the wings can be incorporated into the model's combat loadout. Builders can mix and match the long spear, swords, bow, and wing components to create a variety of battle-ready displays. With every weapon deployed, Yue Fei looks every bit like the legendary commander preparing to lead his army into battle.
