Late last month, "American Horror Story" producer Ryan Murphy revealed that scripts were already being written for a seventh season of "Glee." Now, less than a month later, Disney has officially ordered the revival to series, with the new season set to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.

Murphy said last month that he had just finished a new draft of the script and remained in contact with members of the original cast, with discussions about the revival already underway. Neither Murphy nor Disney has revealed which actors are expected to return, though 20th Television has been confirmed as the studio behind the project. One thing is certain: the original ensemble will not be able to reunite in full. Cory Monteith died from mixed drug toxicity involving heroin and alcohol, Mark Salling died by suicide, and Naya Rivera drowned in 2020.
