Predator
《Predator 2》is a 1990 American science fiction action film, directed by Stephen Hopkins and written by brothers Jim Thomas and John Thomas. This film is the sequel to the 1987 film 《Predator》, and features Kevin Peter Hall reprising his role as the Predator. Set in 1997, the story follows a Predator who descends upon Los Angeles, becoming embroiled in a conflict between drug dealers and the police, ultimately being defeated by Lieutenant Mike Harrigan. The Predator in this film has the unique ability to speak English, a feature not seen in other Predator series films.
The main body stands approximately 160mm tall. Its strengths lie in its accessories and playability. Accessories include a plethora of weapons previously used by the Predator, such as a mask, 2 sets of wrist blades, 2 disc blades (including their stored state), a double-ended spear with interchangeable parts, a dagger attached to the waist, and a dedicated display stand. The QC is quite good; and its biggest selling point is, of course, its appearance! From the sculpt to the coloring, everything was supervised by Takayuki Takeya, thus the expression of its skin texture, the armor's design, the intricate armor patterns, and the tactile feel of the skin's unevenness perfectly reproduce the form sculpted by Takeya. The patterns on the armor, reminiscent of Jomon pottery lines, are truly imbued with his personal style. Therefore, in terms of appearance (in a static pose), it is indeed impeccable.
However, this item has quite a few areas for improvement. Firstly, its articulation is only average. Aside from the head (due to its very poor articulation), the articulation of other body parts is acceptable, but the design of its battle armor hinders joint movement. Furthermore, many joints are loose; thankfully, the weapons are not made of metal, otherwise, they would definitely sag! The dreadlocks are divided into multiple parts and can move independently, which is a rather good idea. However, when you pose it in dynamic actions, the joint areas become fully exposed, such as the neck, armpits, elbows, knees, etc., which leaves a somewhat unpleasant feeling when playing with it.
The product also includes a newly drawn Predator concept art postcard by Takayuki Takeya, but this postcard is truly expensive, so whether you acquire it depends on your love for him...
