X-PLUS Co., Ltd. (株式会社エクスプラス), a company that releases numerous popular Japanese tokusatsu products, exhibited new prototypes themed around Godzilla, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman at the 'TOKYO COMIC CON 2019' held last weekend. This included the highly anticipated first installment of the new statue series, "RMC Yuji Sakai Best Works Selection (酒井ゆうじベストワークスセレクション)".
The "RMC Yuji Sakai Best Works Selection" is a series of pre-painted polystone statues that meticulously reproduce outstanding works previously released by Japanese kaiju sculptor master Yuji Sakai (酒井裕司). The level of detail in these statues is much closer to the original prototypes compared to typical PVC products. The first release will be "Godzilla (2004)" based on the movie poster version from 'Godzilla: Final Wars', which differs completely from its in-film appearance.
Additionally, the X-PLUS booth also showcased the latest prototypes from the highly popular 2.5-head-tall 'DEFOREAL' series, including: Godzilla: King of the Monsters Mothra 2019, Mothra 2019 (Movie Poster Color Version), Burning Godzilla 2019, Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form, as well as new prototypes from the GIGANTIC Series such as Mechagodzilla (1974), Ultraman Ace, and more.
