Kotobukiya My Little Pony Rarity Limited Edition Bishoujo Statue Shines at 1/7 Scale

Japanese collectible manufacturer Kotobukiya expanded its MY LITTLE PONY BISHOUJO series, a collaboration pairing Hasbro's hit animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" with acclaimed Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita. Following releases based on characters including Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, the lineup welcomed the special-edition MY LITTLE PONY RARITY LIMITED EDITION BISHOUJO STATUE. This 1/7-scale pre-painted PVC figure was priced at 12,100 yen and released in October 2021.

One of the Mane Six, the unicorn Rarity (ラリティ, Rarity) is Sweetie Belle's older sister and Ponyville's glamorous fashionista. She is instantly recognizable by her white coat, elegantly curled violet mane and tail, eye shadow, and long, dramatic eyelashes. With a keen eye and impeccable fashion sense, Rarity runs her own clothing shop, Carousel Boutique. She loves designing outfits for her friends and offering style advice, while her Element of Harmony represents Generosity.

For the MY LITTLE PONY BISHOUJO series, renowned Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita reimagined the franchise's colorful ponies as charming Bishoujo characters. Standing approximately 8.7 inches tall, the 1/7-scale MY LITTLE PONY RARITY LIMITED EDITION BISHOUJO STATUE uses the same sculpt as the fourth release in the lineup, the standard Rarity BISHOUJO Statue. This version gives her white skin matching both her pony form and her humanized appearance in "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls." Rarity's hair and the pony's mane on the base have also been recast in glitter-filled translucent purple material, giving the entire statue a sparkling presence and an even lighter, more distinctive look.
