From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Toy Department, TAMASHII NATIONS, the popular "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series is set to release new products based on "Dragon Ball Super": the "S.H.Figuarts Android 18 -Universe Survival Saga-" and the "S.H.Figuarts Android 17 -Universe Survival Saga-" action figures. Each will retail for 6,050 JPY and are slated for release in December 2021.
Android 17, along with Android 18, was transformed into an android by Dr. Gero, a scientist from the Red Ribbon Army. The twin siblings were originally depicted as a young boy wearing a red scarf. He made a significant return in the "Universe Survival Saga" of "Dragon Ball Super," participating in the "Tournament of Power" as one of Universe 7's representative warriors. Not only did he sport a new look, but he also delivered an exceptionally outstanding performance.
The "S.H.Figuarts Android 17 -Universe Survival Saga-" stands approximately 13.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating Android 17's attire from his reappearance in "Dragon Ball Super." His signature black parted hair and sharp gaze perfectly capture his cool and handsome demeanor. In addition to a neutral expression face, the figure includes three interchangeable face plates: a gritting teeth expression for battle, a shouting face, and a confident, smug smirk. It also features an interchangeable hair part to convey dynamic, flowing hair, along with various gloved hand parts and an energy blast effect accessory, allowing collectors to recreate thrilling and vivid scenes from the series.
