Brazilian statue manufacturer Iron Studios recently announced several new products from the Star Wars series "The Mandalorian." This article focuses on the 1/10 scale "Battle Diorama Series (BDS)" entry: Moff Gideon! It is scheduled to ship in Q2 2022.
Standing approximately 20 cm tall, this piece captures Moff Gideon from Season 2, Episode 8, "The Rescue," as he wields the Darksaber in battle against the Mandalorian. The statue depicts him mid-stride, poised to strike. His black Imperial uniform, accented with red lines, is meticulously sculpted with intricate details, including the fully replicated blaster holster on his right thigh. The shoulder and chest armor showcase distinct paint textures. The head sculpt accurately captures the facial likeness of actor Giancarlo Esposito. However, the Darksaber itself differs slightly from its on-screen appearance, which features a strong white glow along its edges. It would be great if the blade could at least feature the distinctive pattern seen in the show.
