Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer Hot Toys recently unveiled several new products available for pre-order at their "Summer Showcase 2021." This article brings you the latest details on the "Iron Man Mark I" 1/6 scale die-cast collectible figure, straight from the 2008 "Iron Man" film!

In the 2008 "Iron Man" film, "Tony Stark" is attacked and kidnapped by the local armed organization, the "Ten Rings," while returning from Afghanistan after testing his new "Jericho" missile. Held captive in a cave, he is ordered to build missiles in exchange for his freedom. Instead, Tony and fellow captive Yinsen devise an escape plan, utilizing missile parts and other available resources to construct the wearable combat armor, the "Iron Man Mark I," all while under constant surveillance!

This new iteration of the "Iron Man Mark I" stands approximately 30 cm tall and boasts 36 points of articulation. Its standout feature is the extensive use of die-cast material for various armor sections, coupled with exceptional paintwork and sculpting that authentically recreates the suit's heavy metallic feel, weathering, scratches, and weld marks. The figure also includes a brown long-sleeved shirt and gray trousers worn beneath the armor, along with intricate back mechanisms, all contributing to a rich, layered aesthetic. Accessories include flame effects that can be attached to the forearm nozzles and a Tony Stark head sculpt with the Mark I helmet.

This figure also features LED light-up functions in the chest arc reactor and left forearm (requiring an external USB power supply). The display base showcases missiles emblazoned with the "Stark Industries" logo. A special edition will further include an additional metallic-colored Mark I helmet part.
