Prime 1 Studio's Q-style brand "Cutie1 (キューティ１)," known for reinterpreting popular IP characters with a plush toy aesthetic, officially announced its latest product yesterday: the "EVA Unit-01 Awakened Ver." (エヴァンゲリオン 初号機 覚醒Ver) from "Rebuild of Evangelion"! It is slated for a May 2022 release.
Following the highly popular releases of the "Unit-01 / Unit-02 / Unit-00' (Kai)" figures, Cutie1 is bringing back EVA Unit-01 in its powerful Awakened form. Standing approximately 12 cm tall and crafted from PVC and ABS, this Q-style figure faithfully recreates the distinctive features of Unit-01 post-awakening, including its red and purple color scheme, the unrestrained chest, the left arm formed by an A.T. Field, and the prominent halo above its head. The translucent quality of the left arm offers an excellent visual effect, giving the figure a distinct and impactful aura compared to the previous standard Unit-01 release.
