Bandai Spirits Hobby Division has announced the latest product, the "HG 1/72 MAILeS Byakuchi," from "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline: Frost Flower," a side story to Bandai's original "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline" project, set for release in September 2021.
The MAILeS Byakuchi was originally an AMAIM secretly transported by the Eurasian Federation, later successfully stolen by the resistance organization "Border Aurora." During a pursuit by the Federation forces, protagonist Kai Hojo took on the role of its pilot. A key feature of this unit is its back-mounted weapon rack, allowing it to carry multiple armaments simultaneously and swap weapons as dictated by combat conditions.
The "HG 1/72 MAILeS Byakuchi" kit features articulation mechanisms verified by the KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN team, bringing the unique joint sculpt from the series to life. Not only does it faithfully reproduce the distinctive back weapon rack, but it also includes a wealth of armament accessories, such as a 60mm portable machine gun (multi-magazine type) x1, a quad missile launcher x1, and a general-purpose portable shield x1. These weapons can be freely swapped and expanded using the back rack and various hardpoints located across the unit's body.
