FLAME TOYS Unveils "Hagane Gokin Dino Megazord" Power Rangers Prototype!

Hong Kong-based toy brand FLAME TOYS recently showcased the prototype for their highly anticipated new "Hagane Gokin Dino Megazord" collectible figure from the American "Power Rangers" series at the ACG HK 2021 exhibition. A release date has yet to be announced.

The Dino Megazord, known as Daizyuzin in its original Japanese incarnation, is a formidable giant robot formed by the combination of five individual Zords: the Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl. While the American "Power Rangers" lore depicts it as a standard solar-powered machine, its origins in "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger" portray it as a sentient guardian deity. In this original context, it possesses its own will, can fight autonomously without the Zyurangers' direct command, and is even capable of manifesting various miraculous phenomena. Its signature weapon is the "Dinosaur Sword God Horn," which descends from the heavens, allowing it to unleash the devastating special attack, "Grand Lightning."

The exhibited prototype for the Hagane Gokin Dino Megazord showcases both the five individual Zords and their combined Megazord form in an unpainted state. This figure will feature full transformation and combination mechanisms, incorporating die-cast metal parts for added heft and durability. True to the previously revealed concept art, the overall design offers a modern reinterpretation of the classic look, featuring sharper, more three-dimensional armor angles. The Pterodactyl Zord, in particular, has undergone the most dramatic redesign, boasting significantly enlarged wings and the Dinosaur Sword mounted on its tail. These expanded wings will prominently unfurl from the Dino Megazord's back once combined!
