The Hobby Division of Japan's Bandai Spirits today announced the upcoming release of the "HG 1/144 Gundam Harute (Final Battle Specification)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A Awakening of the Trailblazer." This new addition to the highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla "High Grade (HG)" series is slated for release in December 2021 and will be sold exclusively through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
The GN-011 Gundam Harute is a fifth-generation Gundam mobile suit developed by Celestial Being, piloted by Allelujah Haptism (Hallelujah) and Soma Peries. As the successor to the Arios Gundam series, the Gundam Harute boasts formidable mobility and a transformation mechanism, armed with a rich arsenal including the GN Sword Rifle, GN Missile Pods, GN Cannons, and GN Scissor Bits. It also features the "Marute Mode," a system exclusive to Super Soldiers, which utilizes the hidden Hallelujah personality to simultaneously operate three pilot OS units, merging thought and reflex to enhance combat capabilities. During the final battle against the ELS in the movie, the Gundam Harute was further enhanced with large leg thrusters for improved mobility and internally stored additional GN Scissor Bits.
The main body of the "HG 1/144 Gundam Harute (Final Battle Specification)" reuses parts from the previously released HG 1/144 Gundam Harute, faithfully reproducing its sleek, aerodynamic design, transformation mechanism into flight mode, the massive GN Sword Rifle, and the weapon binders on its back.
This release further adds newly molded parts for the large leg thrusters, two additional GN Scissor Bits, and a head unit for Marute Mode. This finally brings to life the long-awaited Final Battle Specification, though the inclusion of only two GN Scissor Bits, compared to the 20 bits in its canonical design, might feel a bit lacking.
