Following the release of the Eclipse Gundam main unit, BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has announced the latest addition to the Master Grade (MG) GunPla series, known for its cutting-edge technology, intricate part separation, and high articulation. This new product, the "MG 1/100 MANEUVER STRIKER for Eclipse Gundam," hails from the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE" MSV side story and is slated for a November 2021 release.
The MVF-X08 Eclipse Gundam is a mobile suit secretly developed by Orb, distinguished by its ability to transform between MS (Mobile Suit) and MA (Mobile Armor) forms. Equipped with "Mirage Colloid" functionality, this specialized unit is designed for the stealth operations of the "ODR Corps." Two units have been confirmed to be produced. Its back can be outfitted with the "MANEUVER STRIKER," a Striker Pack featuring four thrusters.
The "MG 1/100 MANEUVER STRIKER for Eclipse Gundam" brings this newly designed Striker Pack to life with intricate sculpting, faithfully recreating its complex nose cone, thrusters, and articulated support arm designs. The unit can be displayed independently in its fighter jet form or equipped onto the separately sold MG 1/100 Eclipse Gundam. Its flexible articulated arms allow for dynamic posing by adjusting the thruster direction, creating more impactful displays. It can even be equipped when the Eclipse Gundam is in its MA form!
Furthermore, the Eclipse Gundam's back connector is designed to be compatible with the previously released "MG 1/100 Strike Gundam Ver. RM." Both units can equip this new version of the Striker Pack, meaning the "MANEUVER STRIKER" can also be used with the Strike Gundam Ver. RM!
