Funny Knights, a figure brand under the veteran model company Aoshima, has announced a new 1/9 scale pre-painted figure of Shishio Tsukasa, the "Strongest Primate High Schooler" from the popular series "Dr. STONE". The figure is scheduled for a December 2021 release, priced at 19,580 JPY.
The manga "Dr. STONE" began its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2017, with an anime adaptation following in July 2019. The story kicks off when the world is mysteriously petrified. 3,700 years later, the science prodigy Senku Ishigami awakens and sets out to rebuild civilization from the ground up using his vast scientific knowledge.
When faced with a pack of lions, Senku and his friend revive the martial arts master Shishio Tsukasa. True to his title as the "Strongest Primate High Schooler," Tsukasa dispatches the beasts with a single punch. He initially agrees to help Senku gather food in this new Stone World.
The Funny Knights Shishio Tsukasa 1/9 scale figure stands at approximately 26cm tall. The sculpt captures Tsukasa's ideology that the petrification was a natural purge of corrupt adults, depicting him standing triumphantly over a shattered stone statue. His domineering expression and faithfully recreated outfit project the immense power of the future Tsukasa Empire. The hair features a detailed gradient paint application, while his weapon and lion pelt cloak are sculpted with a rough, wild texture. Additionally, the cloak can be removed to display the figure in a different atmosphere.
An exclusive limited edition, available through select online retailers, will include a bonus alternate upper body part featuring a bare-chested torso and a smiling expression!
