BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's division has unveiled the latest prototypes for several new additions to their popular METAL BUILD alloy toy series today. These include new backpack units like the "Lohengrin Launcher" and "Sniper Pack," alongside full mobile suit releases such as the "Gundam Astray Red Dragon," the (tentative) "Gundam Astray Dark Night Red Dragon," and the "Justice Gundam," all from the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" universe!
・METAL BUILD Lohengrin Launcher
In the original "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ASTRAY" series, this expansion armament was utilized by the Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L. It's a miniaturized version of the Lohengrin Positron Blaster Cannon used by Archangel-class warships, capable of firing devastating blasts powered by its massive nuclear engine. For the METAL BUILD rendition, the design has been significantly modified, featuring a symmetrical twin-barrel configuration. It can also be combined with two backpack units or equipped simultaneously with other packs.
・METAL BUILD Sniper Pack
Originally an expansion armament for the Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second G in the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ASTRAY" series, this pack featured a high-precision targeting device and a long-barrel sniper rifle, with a relatively simple design. However, the METAL BUILD version has undergone a radical redesign, transforming the backpack into a massive, hood-type targeting device, and the rifle's barrel now resembles a powerful railgun.
・METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Red Dragon
This is the ultimate enhanced form of the Gundam Astray Red Frame from the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ASTRAY" series. A prototype was previously showcased at TAMASHII NATION 2020. Its back is equipped with three imposing "Caletvwlch" armaments, which can transform into various weapons and tools.
・METAL BUILD Gundam Astray Dark Night Red Dragon (Tentative)
An original METAL BUILD enhanced variant of the Gundam Astray Red Dragon, this unit features a newly designed frame and armor. It can be equipped with a flight unit, new Caletvwlch units, the Gerbera Straight, and a host of other armaments, reminiscent of the full weapon loadout forms characteristic of the Gundam series.
・METAL BUILD Justice Gundam
Piloted by Athrun Zala in "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," a prototype of this mobile suit was previously displayed at TAMASHII NATION 2020. It boasts a sleek and powerful armor design, and its distinctive "Fatum-00" drone armament appears even larger in the METAL BUILD interpretation. The figure can recreate two iconic states: with the Fatum-00's wings deployed on its back, or with the Justice Gundam standing atop the unit.
