Following the release of Ahsoka Tano from the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," Kotobukiya's ARTFX line is set to launch its next impressive entry: the 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted statue of Captain Rex (キャプテン・レックス), scheduled for January 2022!
Captain Rex is a crucial and intricately developed character in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Designated CT-7567, he serves as a clone commander in the 501st Legion, under the command of Anakin Skywalker. Rex is not only highly capable and adept at meticulous strategic warfare but also skilled at adapting to Anakin's often unconventional and adventurous combat approaches.
The ARTFX Captain Rex (The Clone Wars Edition) stands approximately 28.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating his iconic blue and white armor and distinctive helmet from the series. He's depicted in a dynamic shooting pose, holding two pistols with his right arm raised, exuding a cool and determined aura. The leather-like kama (skirt armor) is sculpted with realistic folds and creases. Fine details such as the T-visor and mouth filter on his helmet, as well as the markings and weathered grime on his armor, are meticulously rendered. For added display versatility, the figure also includes an unhelmeted head sculpt that perfectly captures Rex's facial features. The semicircular base is designed to connect with the previously released Ahsoka Tano figure, allowing collectors to recreate their iconic back-to-back combat stance.
