Hot Toys, the Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer, has unveiled their latest creation: the "Batman (XE Suit)" 1/6 scale collectible figure, stemming from "Batman: Arkham Origins." This announcement follows their successful line of figures based on the DC Comics video game series "Batman: Arkham." The figure is slated for release in Q3-Q4 2022.
This particular "XE Suit" worn by Batman makes its appearance in the "Cold, Cold Heart" DLC for "Batman: Arkham Origins," where Mr. Freeze serves as the primary antagonist. To thwart the nefarious schemes of Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and their cohorts, Batman dons this "Extreme Environment Suit." Designed to withstand harsh arctic conditions, the armor not only counters various ice-based attacks but also generates heat to melt ice barriers and rescue those trapped in ice.
Standing approximately 33 cm tall, this figure boasts 30 points of articulation. It faithfully recreates the bulky, heavy black and gray battle armor, accented with striking orange details, as seen in the game. Hot Toys has meticulously rendered the metallic armor, hydraulic systems, specialized fabric textures, and battle-worn scratches, giving the figure an impression of maximum defense and robust solidity. Accessories include a grapnel gun, Batarangs, and a Cryodrill that can be displayed in various states. The display base also features ice pillars, replicating a scene from the game.
