The popular 3.75-inch sci-fi military-themed collectible series "Acid Rain" recently announced a brand new "Dust Ghoul" squad, a combination of four figures and one beast. This article focuses on the FAV-A54 "Chief Koren & Doeg" 1/18 scale articulated figure, slated for release in February 2022.
In the "Acid Rain" universe, the ancestors of the Dust Ghouls originated from the fallen Estancian Empire. They now live a nomadic life in desert regions, with their bodies exhibiting varying degrees of mutation. Scholars theorize that the Dust Ghouls' physical mutations are not only due to severe acid rain and nuclear contamination in their living areas but also the long-term effects of the Estancian government's experimental pesticide, Wonderlizer, plague vaccinations, and residual Aumanga bio-attacks from the past.
Neighboring regimes often portray the Dust Ghouls as dehumanized beasts and scapegoats for corrupt governments. However, to merchants in the Gore Region, the Dust Ghouls are a gentle, devout, and peace-loving tribe. Dozens of Dust Ghoul tribes currently roam near the Estancian Gore Region. They reassemble scavenged discarded parts into highly practical vehicles and SAs, and they sow mysterious seeds in the barren desert. Despite their efforts yielding no results, they persist with unwavering determination and piety.

Chief Koren and Doeg are clad in indigo, burgundy, and sand-colored attire. Beyond the intricate layering, the weathering effects, depicting years of traversing the desert, are realistically rendered. Their feet also feature a beast-like appearance with sharp claws. Unlike the hooded Doeg and FAV-A53's Nazar and Gougou, Chief Koren's clear facial features and white hair are prominently displayed. This set's weapon accessories include a modified sniper rifle, a modified crossbow, homemade grenades, a homemade bayonet, a hunting knife, and a quiver that Chief Koren can wear on his back.
