BANDAI SPIRITS' collectors' toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced the upcoming release of the "MS-06J Zaku II JC Type ver. A.N.I.M.E." from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team" as the latest addition to their highly articulated "ROBOT SPIRITS" action figure line. This new figure is slated for a February 2022 release.
The MS-06J Zaku II Ground Type is a variant developed by the Principality of Zeon forces after their descent to Earth, specifically optimized for gravity environments. Unlike the F Type, which was designed for space combat, the J Type shed its attitude control verniers and other space-use functions to achieve lighter weight and enhanced ground mobility. The "JC Type" appearing in "The 08th MS Team" is a further improved "Local Combat Specification" model, most notably distinguished by the three prominent spikes on its right shoulder shield.
The "MS-06J Zaku II JC Type ver. A.N.I.M.E." builds upon previous Zaku II releases, faithfully recreating its distinctive armor design and intricate details with a refined aesthetic. It boasts exceptional articulation, allowing for dynamic poses such as natural kneeling stances and two-handed machine gun wielding. The figure comes equipped with a range of armaments, including a 120mm Zaku Machine Gun with a detachable magazine, a Zaku Bazooka, and a Heat Hawk. Additionally, two thruster effect parts are included, which can be attached to the backpack thrusters to recreate propulsion effects.
