The master of eternal slumber is here! From BANDAI SPIRITS, a subsidiary of Japan's Bandai, the highly popular "Saint Cloth Myth EX" series is set to release Hypnos, the God of Sleep (ヒュプノス), a character from the original "Hades Chapter." This figure is scheduled for release in December 2021.
Hypnos, one of the Twin Gods who appeared in the Elysium Chapter, presides over sleep, while his younger brother Thanatos governs death. Hypnos is marked by a hexagram on his forehead (though in the anime, like Thanatos, it became a pentagram, and this product follows the anime's design). He possesses a calm and collected demeanor, wielding immense power akin to Thanatos. After learning of his brother's defeat by Seiya, who donned a God Cloth, Hypnos attempted to intervene. However, the overwhelming power of the God Cloth proved too much for him to stop. Ultimately, facing the combined assault of Shiryu and Hyoga, whose Cosmos had awakened and were empowered by their God Cloths, Hypnos was also decisively defeated.
This Saint Cloth Myth EX Hypnos figure significantly upgrades the version previously released in 2008. It incorporates the new "EX METAL" body, enhancing both its overall appearance and articulation. The figure comes with four interchangeable face parts, allowing for various expressions, along with hair accessories for when his mask is removed. Hypnos's robe, as seen in his original appearance, is faithfully recreated with fabric material, marking a substantial improvement in overall presentation. Additionally, a sealed Pandora's Box accessory is included for display.
