"I am the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins!" Good Smile Company's affordable PVC pre-painted figure line, "POP UP PARADE," is set to release a new figure of Meliodas (メリオダス), the protagonist from the popular anime "The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement," in December 2021!
"The Seven Deadly Sins" (七つの大罪) is a fantasy shonen manga series created by Japanese manga artist Nakaba Suzuki. It began serialization in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2012 and concluded in 2020. Its latest fourth anime season, "Dragon's Judgement," finished airing in June 2021. The newest theatrical film, "The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light," was originally scheduled for release on July 2nd, but its current release date remains undetermined.
Meliodas is the protagonist of the story and the leader of the "Seven Deadly Sins," bearing the title "Sin of Wrath." He appears as a cheerful, energetic young boy who works at the "Boar Hat" tavern. In reality, he possesses immense demonic power. He initially concealed his identity until he met Elizabeth, who was desperately seeking help to save her kingdom. Together, they embarked on a journey to find the other members of the Seven Deadly Sins, aiming to defeat the corrupt Holy Knights.
This POP UP PARADE Meliodas figure faithfully recreates his iconic appearance from the original series. With a cheerful expression and casual attire, he looks just like an ordinary tavern owner. His distinctive spiky hair is also accurately sculpted. While his Sacred Treasure, "Lostvayne," remains sheathed on his back, its unique hilt and scabbard details are perfectly replicated. Given Meliodas's canonically shorter stature, this figure stands at approximately 15 cm tall, making it slightly shorter than other figures in the line.
