Bandai's Gashapon division, known for its highly popular "Insect Encyclopedia" series of super-realistic, shell-less eco-capsule toys, is set to re-release the popular Stag Beetle with its second wave, "Stag Beetle 02" capsule toys! This follows successful releases like the "Dango Mushi" (Pill Bug) series, "Turtle," and "Hornet" series. The collection features four types, each priced at 500 JPY, and is slated for a re-release in the first week of August 2021.
The popular "GASHAPON Stag Beetle 02 Capsule Toys" are crafted in a large 12 cm full-length size, featuring three types of stag beetles: the "Miyama Stag Beetle," "Mandibularis Stag Beetle," and "Didier's Stag Beetle." Their realistic body structures are faithfully reproduced, boasting 19 points of articulation and internal mechanisms that perfectly recreate biological features such as body shape, mandibles, antennae, and abdominal segments. Transparent materials are used for intricate wing details, allowing them to spread their wings and recreate flight poses! Additionally, the "Sawtooth Stag Beetle Larva" (commonly known as a grub) is meticulously recreated at 13 cm, capturing its plump form. It features 16 points of articulation to realistically pose its curled-up appearance.
