US toy giant Hasbro's "Lightning Collection" toy line yesterday unveiled new action figures based on the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" comic: the "Morphed Donatello and Morphed Leonardo" two-pack! While scheduled for an April 2022 release, the set quickly sold out on the Hasbro Pulse website shortly after going live. Collectors looking to snag this set might need to put in some extra effort.
A multi-party collaboration between Hasbro, IDW, Nickelodeon, and BOOM! Studios, the "MMPR – TMNT" comic series brings together the two iconic IPs, Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The story follows the five Power Rangers and the four Turtle brothers as they team up to fight the villainous Shredder and uncover the reasons behind Tommy's betrayal. These action figures are based on the designs from Issue #4 of the comic, where the Ninja Turtles transform into Power Rangers, faithfully recreating the look, blending characteristics from both franchises, including their unique helmets and signature weapons. The set also includes unmasked head sculpts for Donatello and Leonardo.
▼ Effect parts that can be attached to their weapons are also included.
