Japan's official "Mobile Suit Gundam" Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, today announced its latest exclusive product, the "MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.3.0 [Titanium Finish]," set to be sold exclusively in stores starting August 7th.
Originally released in August 2013, the "MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.3.0" inherited the distinctive styling and design of its RG counterpart. Its armor features three shades of molded plastic—white, light gray, and dark gray—to create a layered, multi-dimensional look. The kit incorporates the intricate "Movable Armor System," allowing the inner frame to extensively link with the armor for enhanced articulation across all joints. Additionally, it includes a Core Fighter that transforms and stores within the torso, fully articulated "Emotion Manipulator SP" hands, and "Realistic Decals" to add intricate detail. Essentially, it's a scaled-up version of the RG RX-78-2.
For this limited edition release, the white exterior armor parts receive a special "Titanium Finish" treatment, achieving a brilliant metallic sheen through plating and coating. The yellow parts are rendered in a matte gold electroplate, while the blue and red armor along with the gray inner frame are molded in metallic colors. The result is a premium, luxurious, and substantial feel upon completion! Pose it dynamically with its included Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, Shield, and Hyper Bazooka!
