To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular anime and manga series "BLEACH," Japanese toy company Megahouse is set to release an incredibly dynamic new addition to its high-end "Precious G.E.M." line: the "G.E.M. Ulquiorra Cifer Resurrección Segunda Etapa" PVC painted complete figure! Following previous releases like the "G.E.M. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez" and "G.E.M. Gin Ichimaru Arrancar Arc," this latest entry boasts an overwhelming presence. It will retail for 24,200 JPY (tax included) and is slated for release in late May 2022.
Created by Japanese manga artist Tite Kubo, "BLEACH" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 2001, quickly becoming one of Jump's most iconic and stylish manga. Its distinctive ink wash art style and poetic dialogue have garnered a massive fanbase. To commemorate the manga's 20th anniversary, various celebratory events are planned, including an anime adaptation of the final arc, "The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc"!
A fan-favorite character from the series, "Ulquiorra Cifer (ウルキオラ・シファー)" is the 4th Espada under Sōsuke Aizen, representing the aspect of death known as Nihilism. His calm, rational demeanor, unwavering loyalty to orders, strategic combat prowess, and formidable strength earned him Aizen's deep trust.
The "Precious G.E.M. Ulquiorra Cifer Resurrección Segunda Etapa" PVC painted complete figure captures Ulquiorra in his powerful "Resurrección Segunda Etapa" form. The figure meticulously recreates his deathly pale skin, piercing golden irises, and dark green sclera, with his facial tear marks (破面紋) appearing even more intense after his release. Standing at an impressive 40 cm tall, the figure features colossal black wings that seem to blot out the sky, making it the largest piece in the series! Black liquid flows from the Hollow hole piercing his chest, while his signature Lanza del Relámpago (Thunder Spear) is rendered in clear material and is detachable. The lower body, arms, and back are covered in black feathers, complemented by sharp, bat-like claws and a menacing tail, all contributing to an overwhelmingly powerful display!
