Figurama Collectors' "Elite FigumiZ" series officially announced its latest release today (the 6th): the "Caiman & Nikaido" 1/8 scale diorama statue from "Dorohedoro"! Limited to 800 pieces, pre-orders are scheduled to open on August 11, 2021, at 11:00 P.M. (JST).
Created by Japanese manga artist Q Hayashida, "Dorohedoro" is set in two coexisting worlds: "The Hole," inhabited by ordinary humans, and the world of sorcerers, a species created by the devil Chidaruma. Sorcerers who aspire to become devils often use humans to practice their magic. The protagonist, Caiman, is one such victim, whose head was transformed into a lizard and who lost his memories. To regain his human face and forgotten past, he embarks on a sorcerer hunt with his companion, Nikaido.
This piece is richly infused with elements from the "Dorohedoro" universe, featuring zombies encountered during the annual "Night of the Living Dead," the gate connecting The Hole and the sorcerers' world, fallen takeout gyoza, and the deadly mushrooms of Boss En. You can even spot a Gyoza Man sitting on a sign with the character "Q"! The overall height reaches 37 cm. Nikaido is depicted kneeing a zombie's head clean off, while Caiman lunges forward, eagerly searching for his next prey. The grimy floor, intricate, aged pipes, and other details perfectly convey the chaotic environment of The Hole as envisioned by Q Hayashida.
▼ Additionally, this statue includes interchangeable masked head sculpts for both Caiman and Nikaido, offering more display versatility.
