Last week, Sony released the official trailer for "Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage" during "Spider-Man Week," giving us a glimpse of Carnage's more brutal side, brewing a riot that promises "rivers of blood." Let's take a look at the details in this trailer. Please note, the content introduced in the first trailer will not be repeated below. If you are not familiar with the comic background, it is recommended to review it first before continuing.
1. Carnage's Transformation
Compared to the fleeting glimpse in the first trailer, the official trailer features more scenes of Carnage's transformation, with most also focusing on the relationship between Cletus and Eddie.

2. Area 51
From the first trailer, we knew that Eddie had set some cohabitation rules for Venom. This time, he demands Venom to be more restrained, or they will be sent to Area 51. Friends familiar with urban legends know that "Area 51" is a military stronghold located in Nevada, USA, rumored to be where the US military conducts experiments on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and other alien phenomena. Interestingly, this scene, however, takes us to Ravencroft, a mysterious secret experimental facility.

3. Dr. Kafka
In the first trailer, we saw the experiments at Ravencroft overseen by a woman believed to be Dr. Kafka. In this trailer, she reappears, presenting herself more as the authority figure of this laboratory.

4. Carnage's Death?
The first trailer introduced the character Shriek as Kasady's girlfriend, whose superpowers include sonic blasts (possibly what is shown in this scene) and telepathy. In this scene, she appears to be stimulated by newspaper content and breaks down. The letters "dy" after the headline might be the end of Kasady's name, suggesting the newspaper reported Kasady's successful escape, or even his death.

5. Loser
In the trailer, Venom calls Eddie a loser, which actually echoes content from the first film. In the first movie, Venom also told Eddie that he was a useless loser on his home planet.

6. The Daily Bugle
We already learned from the first trailer that "The Daily Bugle" would reappear in this film, with a layout consistent with Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" version. In this trailer, we see from another angle that Eddie will begin serving as an editor for "The Daily Bugle" in this installment, as his Daily Bugle website account can be seen in the upper left corner of the screen.

7. One Is The Loneliest Number
This trailer once again uses the song "One Is The Loneliest Number." It's worth noting that in the 2001 animated series "Spider-Man Unlimited," an episode was titled "One Is The Loneliest Number," in which Venom's symbiote separated from Eddie, prompting him to ask Spider-Man to help get it back.
8. Drawings
Additionally, we can see Eddie simultaneously studying some graffiti, including a tree and a church. This is the graffiti we saw Kasady drawing on his prison wall in the previous trailer. The words next to the tree, "Titan! to thee the strife was given Between the suffering," are actually taken from Lord Byron's romantic poem "Prometheus."

9. Schedule Change?
It's worth noting that "Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage" was originally scheduled for September this year, but this trailer has changed the release to a vague "this autumn." As the Delta variant has recently begun to spread globally again, there are concerns that the briefly revived film industry may soon face further delays. Consequently, the release schedule for "Venom 2" might be in uncertainty.

10. Homage to Eddie Murphy
Additionally, Eddie is wearing the same outfit as Eddie Murphy in "Beverly Hills Cop," which is a tribute from Eddie to Eddie~
