Japanese capsule toy maker Qualia recently unveiled a whimsical new collaboration with Japanese felt artist atelier hatena (@atelierhatena), introducing the "Living Bread" (生きてるパン) capsule toy series! These adorable figures are slated for release in mid-November 2021.
atelier hatena is renowned for their intricate felt creations, often featuring themes like insects, small animals, and, of course, bread. Their works are incredibly lifelike, from vibrantly colored flowers to individual acorns. Qualia's new capsule toy line draws directly from atelier hatena's viral bread-themed felt pieces that have captivated social media. The collection features six unique designs, each showcasing the artist's distinctive touch by giving these imaginative breads four little legs. The gradient colors from their "baking" process are also beautifully reproduced, making them look like incredibly delicious pets straight out of some fantastical bread kingdom!
The "Living Bread" lineup includes a slice of Toast (食パン), a Pretzel (プレッツェル), a Croissant (クロワッサン), a Dinner Roll (ロールパン), a Baguette (フランスパン), and a Melon Pan (メロンパン).
