CCP (CCP Co., Ltd.), a toy company renowned for its high-quality statues and three-dimensional works, is set to release two new additions to its Artistic Monsters Collection (AMC) series: the popular tokusatsu kaiju "Gamera 2 (1996)" and "Gamera 3 (1999)." Each figure will retail for 9,900 JPY. Pre-orders are currently open on CCP's official website and AmiAmi Japan, with an estimated release in January 2022.

Gamera (ガメラ), the iconic kaiju featured in Daiei's (now Kadokawa Pictures) Heisei Gamera trilogy, stands alongside Godzilla as one of Japan's most recognizable tokusatsu monsters. According to its lore, Gamera is a bio-weapon created by an ancient civilization approximately 150 million years ago. This civilization harnessed ancient technology and Earth's life energy, Mana, to combat the man-eating kaiju Gyaos. Gamera is characterized by its distinct turtle-like appearance and its ability to combine oxygen with internal plasma energy to unleash powerful "Plasma Fireballs."

The AMC Gamera 2 and AMC Gamera 3 figures stand approximately 20 cm tall. They meticulously capture the distinct evolutionary body structures of Gamera as seen in "Gamera 2: Attack of Legion" and "Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris." These figures faithfully recreate Gamera's sharp, powerful head sculpt, the robust, layered serrated shell, and the thick, rough skin texture. Vivid details are also evident in its sharp claws and massive, yellowish fangs. Posed with arms spread in defense and body lowered in a battle-ready stance, these figures powerfully convey the guardian monster's might and intensity!
