Good Smile Company, the renowned Japanese manufacturer, is set to release the latest addition to its popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand unique figures. Following the release of the Minato Aqua Nendoroid from the VTuber group hololive production, the highly anticipated Nendoroid Gawr Gura from hololive EN is now making her debut! Priced at 5,900 JPY, the figure is slated for a July 2022 release.
Gawr Gura, a first-generation member of the VTuber group hololive English (hololive EN), debuted in September 2020. Her distinctive name is said to originate from mysterious underwater sounds. Her character design was created by Amashiro Natsuki. Gura's lore establishes her as a descendant of Atlantis, possessing the unique ability to converse with marine life. She's famously recognized by her shark-themed hoodie and outfit. Her adorable mascot companion, a small shark named Bloop, is always by her side – though Gura humorously notes Bloop might become emergency rations in a pinch!
The Nendoroid Gawr Gura articulated figure stands approximately 100mm tall, faithfully recreating the Shark Queen's iconic and super cute shark outfit. Her signature white and blue streaked hair and adorable shark-like jagged teeth are perfectly captured in Nendoroid's chibi style. The hood is fully removable, allowing for various display options. And don't forget her tail fin, known for its mysterious flapping sounds! The Nendoroid comes with three interchangeable face plates: her iconic "Standard Smiling Face," a heartwarming "Happy Smiling Face" with closed eyes, and a mischievous "Grinning Face."
