Bandai's Gashapon division is set to launch the first wave of its highly detailed and evolved "HGX" character model capsule toy series, focusing on the beloved Japanese special effects studio, Tsuburaya Productions. Titled "HGX Tsuburaya Productions Vol. 1 ~Shinji Higuchi Selection~," this initial lineup features four distinct figures, each priced at 500 JPY, and is scheduled for release in late August 2021.
This inaugural release spotlights characters from Tsuburaya Productions' "Shin Ultraman" theatrical film, helmed by Japanese special effects director Shinji Higuchi. The collection features four figures: Ultraman (from Shin Ultraman), Melos, the Light Monster Prizma, and the Ancient Monster Gomora II. Each character's distinct features are meticulously captured in a compact size of approximately 8 cm. Beyond their dynamic poses and intricate sculpting, these figures also come with exquisite small accessories, including a logo display stand and a Crescent Beam effect part. Furthermore, the Light Monster Prizma is designed to accommodate a separately sold small LED light unit, allowing collectors to recreate its dazzling light effect!
