Japanese model maker Kotobukiya today announced its latest product from "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," the "Shikinami Asuka Langley Deep Dive Pressure-Resistant Prototype Plugsuit ver. 1/6 Scale Figure," scheduled for release in January 2022.
This new plugsuit, featuring a pure white base with iridescent lines, made its debut in "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time." Officially named the "Deep Dive Pressure-Resistant Prototype Plugsuit," it was created for the final battle and worn by both Asuka and Mari. Its key feature, as the name suggests, is to help the wearer adapt to extreme pressure changes.
The "Shikinami Asuka Langley Deep Dive Pressure-Resistant Prototype Plugsuit ver. 1/6 Scale Figure" stands approximately 23 cm tall and showcases Asuka's figure with a captivating pose. The hair parts utilize clear material with a gradient paint application to capture the translucent effect of the hair tips. The plugsuit meticulously reproduces the intricate red line details. The base features a stone statue of the "EVA-02α" head, intricately sculpted with mechanical details and rock textures.
