Japanese figure manufacturer UNION CREATIVE (Union Creative Co., Ltd.) is bringing popular illustrator Kantoku's "Sailor Suit no Mannaka" art book cover, originally released in 2019, to life as a PVC pre-painted complete figure. The "Sailor Suit no Mannaka" PVC figure is priced at 18,000 JPY and was slated for an April 2022 release.
A prominent Japanese illustrator who rose to fame in the 1980s, Kantoku (@Kantoku) is the founder of the doujin circle "5-Nenme no Houkago" (Fifth Year After School). He is renowned for his captivating illustrations and art book covers, specializing in drawing adorable and charming schoolgirl characters. Kantoku is a frequent guest at doujin conventions and served as the original character designer and illustrator for "A Sister's All You Need."
The "Sailor Suit no Mannaka" PVC pre-painted complete figure faithfully recreates the schoolgirl from the cover of the eponymous art book, depicted with a hair tie in her mouth and sporting twin tails! Standing approximately 28 cm tall, the figure is fully supervised by the original artist Kantoku, meticulously capturing the alluring pose that reveals her navel and slender waist beneath the classic sailor uniform. Her cute, innocent expression and natural, everyday pose are also exquisitely reproduced. Furthermore, the sailor uniform is designed with removable parts, allowing collectors to reveal the intricately detailed white bra and panties underneath, fulfilling the desire to explore what lies beneath the uniform! The delicate pink skin tone, along with the curves of her glutes and back, are rendered with nuanced shading, collectively exuding a light and translucent girlish charm.
