Aniplex has announced a highly anticipated re-release of its popular ANIPLEX+ exclusive "Zero Two (School Uniform Ver.)" 1/7 scale figure from the hit anime "DARLING in the FRANXX"! Pre-orders will be open from August 20th to September 30th, with a suggested retail price of 18,920 JPY. The figure is scheduled for a June 2022 release, giving fans who missed out on the initial run another chance to grab her at retail price!
"DARLING in the FRANXX" is an original sci-fi mecha anime co-produced by studios TRIGGER and A-1 Pictures. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the planet's resources have been depleted by overdevelopment. The surviving remnants of humanity pilot giant mechs known as "FranXX" to combat the Klaxosaurs, mechanical lifeforms drawn to their new energy sources.
The heroine, "Zero Two," is an elite pilot with Klaxosaur blood, distinguished by the two red horns on her head. While she has a wild and energetic personality, her FranXX, the Strelitzia, is so powerful that it places an immense strain on her co-pilots, earning her the grim nickname "Partner Killer."
This ANIPLEX+ exclusive "Zero Two (School Uniform Ver.)" 1/7 scale figure is based on a scene from the anime's ending credits, capturing Zero Two in her school uniform as she stands atop a crane. Sculpted by the renowned GRIZZRYPANDA, the figure vividly portrays a dynamic moment as her pink hair, necktie, and pleated skirt billow in a strong wind. Meticulous attention has been paid to details like her loafers and school bag, with shading, gradients, and metallic paint applications adding to the overall texture and realism. Above all, her captivating expression—a glance back over her shoulder with a faint, enigmatic smile—is simply irresistible!
