Bandai Candy's popular "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME" candy toy series provided an update today (23rd) on previously announced new project information, simultaneously revealing a silhouette for its next Premium Bandai limited release.
The "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME" series is set for a major overhaul, with a revamped version slated for announcement in October. The new specifications will feature significant modifications to both the movable inner frame and the non-articulated armor hangers. Additionally, the exterior armor is expected to see improvements in areas like the upper arms and thighs, paving the way for a wider variety of mobile suit releases in the future.
While the previously revealed "Freedom Gundam" will be available as a standard release, the upcoming Premium Bandai exclusive is none other than the "Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility" from "Mobile Suit Gundam UC". This formidable mobile suit originated as "Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Plan B" in the arcade card game "GUNDAM TRYAGE," initially conceived as an alternative configuration for the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam. "Plan B" also signified "BLUE," leading to its distinctive blue-colored beam and Psycommu frame elements. It further incorporated Armored Armor BS, VN, XC, and DE units, drawing elements from both the Banshee and Banshee Norn. Later, with the release of the "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" Blu-ray BOX, and to establish a narrative link with the "Gundam Phenex" from "Mobile Suit Gundam NT," the back-mounted Armored Armor DE was redesigned with a unique tail feather stabilizer, officially renaming the unit to "Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility"—a true culmination of the Unicorn series.
Full details on the revamped "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME" will be unveiled in early October. The announcement will cover three new products: a standard release, an EX release, and the Premium Bandai exclusive "Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility."
